Accomodations

We are a One-Millon Star Inn. This will be especially evident on most summer nights.

round house
The round house

Our accommodations are rustic, but clean and comfortable. Three cabins, divided into 8 rooms, accommodate from three to 6 persons per room (with bunk beds in some rooms), accommodating a total of 26. All three cabins have hammocks, in addition to the Round House.

Since we heat the water for the shower on a passive solar system, hot showers pretty much depends on the weather (and on how many want to shower at the same time). However, we'll heat water for you in case the sunshine doesn't cooperate. The hardier souls brave the 'refreshing' waterfall. Turn off your pacemaker before going under.

Toiletries. When we say we practice ecological farming we mean it. We have very attractive composting latrines that help us enrich our soil and, at the same time, keep pollutants out of the rivers. And, no, just to be on the safe side, we use the 2 to 3 year-old composted material on trees and coffee bushes. The latrines are clean, and practically odorless.

FOOD

When we ask our guests what their favorite part of the stay was their is a ninety percent chance that they will say; "Oh that wonderfull food!". We serve all vegetarian food, inluding native Ecuadorian food, and more intrnational foods. As one of our guests said as she walked out the door: "The best home-cooking on either side of the Equator"

Thank you for everything! The food was amazing, the views beautiful, the garden sustainable, the toilets the way they should be, and
the education priceless...
